What is Success?

How do you define true success?

Is it finding a great love? Liking yourself? Being a good Father or Mother?

In some cases the image of success comes in a material form: having a high paying and respectful job, driving a nice car or owning a new house. But do are these things really evidence of success?

So when your house burns down, your significant other passes away, and your car is totaled. Are you still the epitome of a success?

The truth is that anytime we look for success outside of ourselves we will be mistaken. Success can not be a future goal or something achieve -- Success is something inside of you.

If you work hard blindly for money-- you may in fact reach your goal. Will all the stressed time and effort that you put into a purely selfish moment account for the financial gain you receive?

Do you want to achieve success? Be successful! Success is nothing more than a successful moment. To have a successful moment all you need to do is be present in your work with a sense of quality and eagerness, no matter how small or meager the action may be.

This doesn't mean that you shouldn't plan goals or that you should not strive for your dreams. But understand that by giving your full attention to whatever the present moment needs.. that is all you need for success!

Instead of thinking about things you need, or being frustrated by the fact that you are "not getting enough," ask yourself this. How can I help this moment?

"Dont let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment."
- Eckhart Tolle
